Ammoudi Bay is located on north-western tip of Santorini. Connected to Oia by about 278 steps from Oia's Castle, this fishing village is located on the famous red cliff right among the most beautiful places to visit. It is close enough to walk to the center but far enough to ensure peace and privacy. Overlooking Thirasia and the magnificent caldera seen above, the village is popular for Santorini's famous sunset is truly the best time of day to view from Ammoudi Bay in all its glory. In the port of the Ammoudi Bay we will find numerous restaurants serving primarily seafood and fish caught by local fishermen in the surrounding waters. Not many people know that after the last restaurant there is a dirt path that hooks around the corner to a great swimming spot. Best of all is the island opposite the edge where the church of Saint Nicholas is, a true hidden gem that you have to swim to get to and is the best cliff jumping spot. Also, from the port of Ammoudi you can go to Thirassia using the water taxi. Ammoudi Bay is accessible by road with an ATV, car, or taxi. Anelia House is just 17 km from the airport, 12 km form the port and 8 km from the capital of Santorini, Fira.
